Säfeli is an engineering firm based in Granges-Paccot, in the canton of Fribourg. Since 2020, we have been helping start-ups, SMEs and large groups from all over Switzerland to bring their products to market safely and in compliance: CE marking, testing, cybersecurity, management systems and training.

What we believe
Compliance should help a product move forward, not hold it back
Säfeli was founded in 2020 by Elio Schnarrenberger and Christophe Heckel, two engineers already working in product safety and certification. What we do: translate regulations and standards into practical decisions on a real product, at the right point in the project.
We work for manufacturers of machinery, laboratory equipment, medical devices, electronic equipment and connected products, from prototype to placing on the market, in Switzerland and for export to the European Union.

Elio Schnarrenberger
CEO and co-founder
An electronics engineer, Elio worked in industry, including at Liebherr and Johnson Electric, before turning to product safety and certification, his field for the past eight years.
He works across all of Säfeli’s areas, in particular laboratory equipment and medical devices, and leads the laser and machinery training courses.

Christophe Heckel
Co-founder, safety engineer
An engineer with an aeronautics background, Christophe has worked in product safety and certification for eight years.
He supports manufacturers in their CE marking projects, from risk analysis to the technical file.
Sebastiano Testa
Cybersecurity engineer
Sebastiano specialises in the cybersecurity of connected devices and machinery, and in the protection of companies.
He carries out threat analyses, supports compliance with the CRA and the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), and helps companies strengthen their security.

Our office and laboratory are in Granges-Paccot, on the outskirts of Fribourg, on the language border. We work for clients from all over Switzerland, at their premises, at ours or remotely.
